There are moments in our journey that feel like gentle confirmations from the universe — reminders that we are walking the path we are meant to walk. Recently, I experienced one of such reminders when my interview was published in Madame FigaroMadame Figaro, a magazine known for celebrating powerful stories, visionary women, and transformative ideas.
Being invited to speak about Lakshmi Transformation and our holistic retreatsholistic retreats was more than an honor; it felt like a reflection of the work, devotion, and intention that have been guiding this creation from the very beginning. In the interview, I shared the heart of my mission: to open spaces where women and man can reconnect with their essence, heal through presence, and remember the power and wisdom already living within them.
We spoke about the holistic retreatsholistic retreats — from Croatia’s serene forests to India’s vibrant shoresIndia’s vibrant shores, Morocco’s mystical desertsMorocco’s mystical deserts, and Indonesia’s lush spiritual landscapesIndonesia’s lush spiritual landscapes — and how each place was chosen for its sacred energy and ability to bring people back to themselves. We also touched on the deeper philosophy behind Lakshmi Transformation: that transformation is not about becoming someone new, but about returning home to who we truly are.
Seeing this story printed on the pages of Madame FigaroMadame Figaro felt surreal. It reminded me why I started, and why I continue. For everyone who has walked part of this journey with me — thank you. And for those who are joining now — welcome. Something beautiful and grand is unfolding.

“Lakshmi Transformation: reconciling body, heart, and spirit through holistic retreats.
“By organizing retreats in symbolic places around the world, Barbara Da Cruz created Lakshmi Transformation, a concept that guides others on the path of deep and holistic transformation.
It was during her own therapeutic journey that Barbara Da Cruz explored the entirety of her being and rediscovered herself. “A new world opened up to me,” she recalls. The former engineer continued this transformative path and after spending time in India to study Yoga and completing various trainings, she developed a holistic vision that resonates with an ever-growing audience. “If we want to heal certain ailments, we must not focus on just one area, but see the human being as a whole — body, mind, and emotions. To feel well and in harmony, all these aspects must be considered”, she explains.
To create a synergy between the different methods and approaches she has mastered, Barbara founded Lakshmi Transformation, a holistic wellness retreat concept set in places chosen for their sensitivity and beauty. Although the Croatian-born founder leads the retreats in English, her knowledge of French also allows her to support French-speaking participants during these internationally infused retreats.
